Ciespace. Based in Santa Clara, CA, Ciespace provides advanced solutions for mechanical meshing in various industries including automobile, aerospace, consumer electronics, industrial machinery, medical and entertainment. Ciespace was acquired by ESI Group.

ClassOwl. Based in San Francisco, CA, until its acquisition by Civitas Learning, ClassOwl was a communications and task management tool that allows students to follow their classes and student groups in a single mobile planner.

ClearGauge. Based in Chicago, IL, ClearGauge was a B2B online interactive marketing services and consulting company. (Formerly B2BWorks).

CPC Associates. Based in Horsham, PA, until its acquisition by Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS), CPC Associates was a provider of highly deliverable and data-rich consumer and business data.

Dataware. Based in Cambridge, MA, Dataware provided technologies for managing structured or tabular data through indexing and compression of CD-ROMs.

Digital Persona. Based in Redwood City, CA, until its acquisition by Cross Match Technologies, DigitalPersona offers the world’s broadest portfolio of biometrics-based identity verification solutions.

FastSoft. Based in Pasadena, CA, FastSoft develops TCP acceleration technology that radically improves the speed and quality of data transfer over the internet. FastSoft was acquired by Akamai Technologies, Inc.

FieldCentrix. Based in Irvine, CA, until its acquisition by Astea International (Nasdaq: ATEA), FieldCentrix is a leading provider of field service automation systems.

Incentive Logic. Based in Scottsdale, AZ, Incentive Logic offers end-to-end corporate incentive programs and innovative reward solutions for businesses.

InfoUSA. Based in Omaha, NE, InfoUSA (Nasdaq: IUSA) is the leading compiler of detailed information on businesses and consumer households in the United States and Canada.

Interactive Prospect Targeting Holdings PLC. Based in London, England, IPT (AIM: IPH.L) is the European leader in online and postal direct market services.

Landmark Graphics. Based in Houston, TX, Landmark was the pioneer in developing computer workstations for interpreting 3D seismic data. Landmark is now a subsidiary of Halliburton with more than 2,000 employees.

MapQuest. Based in Denver, CO, and now owned by AOL, MapQuest is the world leader in online, voice and wireless mapping and driving directions, providing destination information solutions to business partners and consumers anytime, anywhere.

MarketLive. Based in Petaluma, CA, MarketLive offers e-commerce technology and development services specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of retailers, catalogers, manufacturers and brands. (Formerly MultiMediaLive).

MediaTel. Based in San Francisco, CA, until its acquisition by Captaris, Inc. (Nasdaq: CAPA), MediaTel was a leading electronic distribution company.

MetaTV. Based in Mill Valley, CA, until its acquisition by TVWorks (a Comcast-Cox joint venture), MetaTV provided software enabling the automation and optimization of interactive TV applications.

ModViz. Based in Oakland, CA, until its acquistion by Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA), ModViz provided collaboration and acceleration software products for 3D design and analysis process acceleration.

Multex. Based in New York, NY, until its acquisition by Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI), Multex was a worldwide leader in online investment information and technology solutions.

MyOffers Limited. Based in London, England, MyOffers is the European leader in online and postal direct market services. (Formerly Interactive Prospect Targeting Holdings PLC).

MyTango. Based in Menlo Park, CA, MyTango was an online payment system allowing people to order and pay at participating merchants by cell phone or via the web.

NewsEdge. Based in Burlington, MA, until its acquisition by Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI), NewsEdge was a global provider of content solutions and electronic publishing technologies for business.

NxtGen Emission Controls. Based in British Columbia, NxtGen developed diesel aftertreatment systems that enable diesel particulate filters, lean NOx traps, diesel oxidation catalysts and selective catalytic reduction beds to operate more efficiently.

Pixim. Based in Mountain View, CA, Pixim is a provider of advanced digital imaging systems that revolutionize the way video cameras capture and process images. Pixim was acquired by Sony Electronics Inc.

RedEnvelope. Based in San Francisco, CA, and now owned by Liberty Interactive Group (NASDAQ: LINTA), RedEnvelope offers through its web site and catalogs, an extensive collection of imaginative, original gifts for every occasion, recipient and budget.

ShowEvidence. Based in Santa Clara, CA, ShowEvidence provided a cloud-based performance assessment platform for gathering evidence and providing feedback around student and teacher performance.

Spectra Products. Based in Johnson City, NY, Spectra is a direct marketing services business, specializing in credit card mailing inserts into monthly billing statements of nearly every bank, credit card issuer, cable company and utility in the country. Spectra merged with SMS Marketing Services, Inc.

ThinkCERCA. Based in Chicago, IL, ThinkCERCA offers differentiated literacy instruction for grades 4-12. A web-based platform provides teachers with the content and tools to deliver standards-based instruction in close reading, writing and critical thinking across subjects.

Tumbleweed. Based in Redwood City, CA, until its merger with Axway Inc. (a subsidiary of the Sopra Group, SA), Tumbleweed is a leading provider of mission critical messaging software that enables organizations to manage and secure online business communications and processes.

Virent Inc.. Based in Madison, WI, Virent developed the patented BioForming process for the carbon neutral production of advanced biofuels and high value chemicals.

Xeikon. Based in Belgium, and now owned by Punch Graphix, Xeikon is a leading provider of digital color and black and white print solutions for professional applications.
